Dr. Gigi Elias and Renu Susan Samuel attended  a three day National Seminar on Delving into “Missing Women”: A Multidisciplinary Discourse On Emerging Gender Issues sponsored by the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala,organized by the Department of Economics, Panampilly Memorial Govt. College, Chalakudy from  9^th -11^th December, 2014. They presented a paper on “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN KERALA: A STUDY ON THE 
IMPACT OF MGNREGA ACT ON THE WOMEN LABOURERS OF EDAKKATUVAYAL PACHAYATH IN ERNAKULAM”.

Dr. Gigi Elias and Ms. Piya Mathew attended a one day International Seminar on Queues And Graphs(ISQG)  organized by PG & Research Department of Mathematics, St. Peter's College, Kolenchery,  in association with Kerala Mathematical Association on  7th January, 2015.

                                                             2015-16

A UGC Sponsored National Seminar on the topic “Agriculture and Sustainable Growth with special reference to Kerala” was conducted on the 17^th and 18^th of September, at the Golden Jubilee Seminar Hall of the College.  The seminar was inaugurated by Sri. C.V. Jacob, Secretary, St. Peter's College Trust Kolenchery. It was presided over by the college Principal, Dr. Thampy Abraham. Dr. Gigi Elias, Head of the Department, Economics welcomed the dignitaries. 

Prof. George. K. Issac (Former HOD, Dept. of Economics and Dr. Reji M. A., Associate Prof. & HOD, Dept. of Commerce felicitated the gathering. Smt. Piya Mathew, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Economics proposed the vote of thanks.
